The protection of your personal data is an important concern for 4Me Group GmbH (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Operator’).
This privacy policy explains how personal data is collected, processed and stored on the www.arvena.ch.
The Operator complies with the provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union

3. Purpose of data processing
- Provision and operation of the telemedicine platform
- Registration of doctors and users
- Appointment and communication management (video, chat, messages)
- Billing for medical services
- Compliance with legal documentation and retention requirements
- Improvement of the platform and technical security
Any further use will only take place with the express consent of the data subject or on a legal basis.
4. Categories of data collected
Depending on the user group, the following data may be processed:
a) General user data
- Surname, first name
- Date of birth
- Address, telephone number, email address
- Login data (user name, password, time stamp)
b) Medical data
- Medical data is secured by doctors.
c) Technical data
- IP address, browser type, operating system, access time
- Cookies and similar technologies (see point 10)
5. Data processing by doctors
Doctors who use the platform act as independent controllers within the meaning of data protection law.
They are obliged to comply with the data protection provisions in accordance with the DSG/GDPR and the medical confidentiality obligation in accordance with the MedBG and FMH guidelines.
The operator merely provides the technical infrastructure and has no access to medical content without an explicit legal basis or consent.
6. Data transfer to third parties
Personal data will not be passed on to third parties, except:
- if there is a legal obligation to do so (e.g. reports to health authorities),
- the data subject has given their express consent,
- or the data is being transferred to commissioned service providers (contract processors), e.g.:
- hosting providers (server location in Switzerland),
- payment service providers,
- IT security and support service providers.
All processors are contractually obliged to comply with data protection regulations.
7. Storage and retention
Personal data will only be retained for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by law.
Medical data is subject to medical retention obligations (usually 10 years from last contact).
After the expiry of the statutory periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Data security
The platform uses the latest technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. These include:
- SSL/TLS encryption of all connections
- Encrypted storage of medical data
- Access restrictions for authorised persons
- Regular security and system updates
Servers are operated exclusively in Switzerland.
9. Rights of data subjects
Data subjects have the right to:
- information about the stored data,
- correction of inaccurate data,
- deletion (‘right to be forgotten’),
- restriction of processing,
- data portability,
- revocation of consent (with effect for the future).

The operator may request additional information for identity verification purposes.
10. Cookies and tracking
The platform uses cookies to improve user-friendliness and ensure technical functions.
By default, only technically necessary cookies are set.
Analytical or marketing cookies are only activated with the user’s consent (cookie banner with opt-in function).
Users can delete or deactivate cookies at any time via their browser settings.
11. Videotelemedicine and communication
Video consultations and chat communication take place via encrypted, GDPR-compliant communication channels.
Conversation content and video data are not stored permanently unless they form part of medical documentation (e.g. doctor’s notes).
Third parties (e.g. video service providers) are only used if they comply with Swiss or EU data protection standards.
12. Payment processing
The operator does not store any complete credit card information itself.

The current version is available at www.arvena.ch/datenschutz.
Registered users will be notified of any significant changes by email.
